I’m a senior in the class of 2023 and this is my second year as a member of the Prep News staff. The reason I joined the Prep News team in my junior year was because I felt drawn to it. I had a strong interest in journalism and Prep News gave me the chance to explore that interest. Soon after the school year started, I discovered a love for journalism, and by the end of my junior year, I developed a desire to pursue a career in journalism. I chose to continue writing for Prep News this year to continue gaining experience with working on a newspaper. Researching and writing articles for the Prep News is something that I enjoy and something I want to continue to do in college for a college newspaper. Along with Newspaper, I’m involved in the Rockhurst Culinary Club and Video Game Club. Through the clubs, I have found individuals with a shared interest in either cooking or video games. I don’t really have any goals or plans for the future other than going to college to study communications and get a job in the journalism field in a city that I love.
