Michael Boersma, Prep News TV
My name is Michael Boersma, and this will be my second year working on Prep News. I have always really enjoyed writing, and getting to be on the Prep News staff is an idea that I got after taking the intro classes for both photography and broadcasting. What I enjoyed most was interviewing people and getting their opinions and reactions to whatever I asked or told them. This freedom to film my own stories is the main reason I came back. Getting an opportunity to do this again is something I am looking forward to. Being part of Prep News will also help me get into a good college as it will be a great addition to my college applications. Overall, I am very excited to contribute to the Prep News team and have the freedom to film my own stories and interviews.
Outside of Prep News, I am mostly involved in the theater program, working as a stage manager, and I practice and compete in club fencing. Freshman and sophomore year, I ran cross country, as well as track and field during my freshman year.
My goals for the future are to graduate Rockhurst and enter college, majoring in finance and business.
