On Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 Rockhurst students, faculty, staff and benefactors all gathered before school for the dedication of the Jack Nestor ‘34 Outdoor Classroom. Work to revamp the space was completed over the summer. Science teacher Paul Winkeler, whose AP Environmental Science class maintains the milkweed gardens, and art teacher Dr. Philip Nahlik both talked about the impact the space can have for their respective students. Principal Father Vincent Giacabazi also talked about the importance of the outdoor classroom before officially dedicating the space.
