Keenan Rourke, Staff Reporter
My name is Keenan Rourke. I went to elementary school at Cure’ of Ars in Leawood, Kan. I’m a junior, and it’s my first year taking newspaper. I took this class, because my brother highly recommended it. It is an excellent way to improve my writing skills as well.
I love to watch and play sports, which is a topic I am very interested in. I also want to learn more of the things at and about Rockhurst that most students don’t hear about, and share those stories on Prep News. I love to have conversations with people and learn more about them. I hope to use these skills in my upcoming stories.
I plan to go to college, though I am undecided on what I plan to study and where I will be attending. In previous years, I have played soccer for Rockhurst, and I have played CYO basketball in the winter (I was part of the runner-up team last year.).
My goals for this year are to become a better reporter and writer on the Prep News staff. I also want to find a subject that interests me that I can learn about in college. I am looking forward to this year and sharing news with the Rockhurst community.
