My name is Dillon Darby. I attended Cure’ of Ars grade school for nine years and am now in my junior year at Rockhurst. This is my first year in newspaper and first year being a part of the Rockhurst Prep News team. I have also been a part of the football, basketball and baseball teams here.

I want to play a supporting role in the school by writing and reporting about the news and events going around Rockhurst. I want everyone to know about and cover all the different events going on with sports, clubs and other co-curriculars. My goal in this class is to cover anything and everything that needs attention. I came into this class wanting to cover all the sports I can, but with more thought and consideration I also would like to be able to bring light to the small things that do not receive enough appreciation here at Rockhurst, so nothing will go unseen.

I hope that taking this class now will help me in the future with my writing, colleges and, potentially, jobs down the road. Taking this class will help me in my communication, writing and coverage skills, and it will help me grow with the school.
