My name is Danny Murphy (Class of 2026). This is my first year making content for the newspaper staff. I enjoy writing and being involved in the Rockhurst community, which is why I chose to join in writing the newspaper for our school.

I have done sports as well as speech and debate for Rockhurst, and plan to do so until I graduate. I also take part in leadership programs aimed at welcoming new students.

I hope to use my role on the Rockhurst newspaper to take a greater interest in the various activities here, and bring them into the spotlight. It is also a good opportunity to meet new people through researching our clubs, sports and emerging stories here at our school. I am confident I will be able to make an impact here, and take away some important life lessons. As an upperclassman, I want to encourage others to be involved in our community by highlighting the many unique events, activities and stories that come from our school each year.

My personal goals are to better involve myself in the Rockhurst community, attain better grades, and graduate with an academic scholarship. Hopefully my growth during this school year will be evident in the quality of my stories.
