My name is Cal Murphy, and this will be my first year on the newspaper staff. I’ve always loved writing and talking to people about information for assignments and projects. I am creative and really social. My attributes give me confidence to say I will be a great part of the Rockhurst Prep News staff. I want to write for our newspaper, because I think I could transfer my writing skill from English to newspaper to cover other fascinating stories.

Newspaper will got only be great for me right now, but it will also be good to me in the future. It could help me with a job and even my social skills from the experience I will get from talking to other people.

At the moment, I am not involved in any clubs or sports. I will be playing basketball in the winter and tennis in the spring. I also plan to join a club later this year so I can meet more people and have fun with them.

My goals/plans for the future is to make varsity in at least two sports and have a GPA close to a 4.0. With these intentions in my life, I hope I can make a great impact for the Prep News staff and others.
